Nationwide Reach
We have placed teacher-leaders in every region of Armenia, annually reaching over 30,000 students. That's more than 12% of all students in Armenia—making us one of the largest education organizations in the country.
Our Impact
We measure our success not by good intentions, but by tangible impact. In just ten years, the Armenia Education Initiative has achieved remarkable results and built an unprecedented platform for future growth.
Our impact so far tells a story: when you invest in bold leadership and holistic approaches, the returns are outstanding. We're seeing academic improvement, yes, but also mindsets changing—among students, teachers, communities, and policymakers. Hope is replacing resignation in places that had been written off. A new narrative is emerging about what Armenia's education system can be: world-class, equitable, and empowering.
But we're not resting on laurels. For every student we've reached, there are 5 more we haven't yet. For every school turned around, dozens still struggle. We take these numbers as proof of concept and as a mandate to think bigger.

Where We're Making a Difference
Our impact extends across classrooms, communities, and institutions throughout Armenia.
We have placed teacher-leaders in every region of Armenia, annually reaching over 30,000 students. That's more than 12% of all students in Armenia—making us one of the largest education organizations in the country.
550+ alumni are now emerging leaders across sectors. Over 70% remain in the education or social impact field long-term. Alumni serve as school principals, lead NGOs, win Fulbright scholarships, and take roles in government.
In schools with our Fellows, students consistently show improved academic growth. Independent testing shows +1.5 grade levels gained in reading in one year. Over 90% of surveyed parents report noticing a positive change in their child's attitude toward learning.
Seroond's pilot results speak volumes: 100% teacher satisfaction, 2x student enrollment growth, huge jumps in literacy. Local governments have now started contributing budget resources.
Through Change-Based Learning and Káits, hundreds of student-led and teacher-led projects have been launched, impacting an additional 20,000 community members. Some student projects have won national awards.
Our advocacy efforts contributed to the Ministry of Education announcing a new incentive program for teachers in remote areas. We've seen our leadership concepts in the Ministry's principal training.
When war struck in 2020 and the Artsakh crisis in 2023, we mobilized like no other educational organization. Over 30,000 displaced children continued education through our efforts.
